Privacy Policy – AI Heroes

AI Heroes ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") helps Shopify merchants make their products visible to AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.

By installing or using this App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. What We Collect

We access limited data from your Shopify store:

  • Product titles, descriptions, images, tags, and prices

  • Store name and domain

  • Shopify access credentials (OAuth tokens)

    • We do not collect or access:

  • Customer names, emails, addresses, or purchase history

  • Payment or billing information

  • Any personal identifiable information (PII)

    • 2. How We Use Your Data

    We use your product data to:

  • Generate AI-friendly product descriptions, FAQs, and guides

  • Create your llms.txt file (the AI-readable catalog)

  • Optionally create a public "AI Discovery" page on your store

    • We share limited product data (titles, descriptions, and prices) with Anthropic Inc. (Claude AI) only for content generation. Anthropic processes this data temporarily and does not store it permanently.

    3. Data Storage & Security

    Data (including your Shopify access tokens and generated content) is stored in a private database accessible only to our application and internal administrators. All communication with Shopify and Anthropic uses encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not share or expose your credentials to any third party.

    4. Data Retention & Deletion

  • We keep your store data only while the App is installed.

  • When you uninstall the App, all data (tokens, product info, and generated content) is deleted automatically within seconds.

  • We do not keep backups or archives.

    • We comply fully with Shopify's and GDPR's privacy webhooks:

  • `app/uninstalled` → deletes all your data

  • `shop/redact` → deletes all your data (GDPR erasure)

  • `customers/data_request` and `customers/redact` → not applicable (we do not store customer data)

    • 5. Your Rights

    You can:

  • View and edit all generated content directly in your App dashboard.

  • Preview and approve any AI-generated content before publishing it to your store.

  • Delete all data instantly by uninstalling the App.

  • Request manual deletion or information anytime by contacting support.

    • 6. Who We Share Data With

    We share limited product data only with:

  • **Anthropic Inc. (Claude AI)** – to generate text content for your store.

    • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other party.
