📦 Step 1: Install the App

Click "Add app" in the Shopify App Store and approve the permissions. The app will automatically:

Your store is now AI-discoverable! The llms.txt file is live immediately at:

🎯 Step 2: Generate AI Content

From the AI Heroes dashboard:

  1. Click the "🎯 Generate AI Content" button (large blue button at the top)
  2. Wait 30-60 seconds while AI analyzes your products
  3. The app will create:
    • Product descriptions optimized for AI
    • Smart FAQs answering common questions
    • Shopping guides for different buyer intents

✅ Success! Your AI content is ready to preview.

👁 Step 3: Preview Your Content

  1. Click "👁 Preview Content" button
  2. A new window opens showing your formatted AI Discovery page
  3. Review the FAQs, products, and shopping guides
  4. Close the preview when satisfied

🚀 Step 4: Publish to Shopify (Optional)

Create a human-readable AI Discovery page on your store:

  1. Click "🚀 Publish to Shopify" button
  2. The app creates a new page in your Shopify store
  3. You'll receive the page URL (e.g., your-store.com/pages/ai-discovery)
  4. This page is publicly accessible and can be shared with AI platforms
Note: This step is optional. Your llms.txt file works without publishing a page.

🔄 Step 5: Enable Auto-Sync (Recommended)

Keep your AI content automatically updated when products change:

  1. Click "🔄 Enable Auto-Sync" button
  2. Webhooks are registered with Shopify
  3. Your content now updates automatically when you:
    • Add new products
    • Update existing products
    • Delete products

✅ Your readiness meter should now show 100%

🎨 Step 6: Enable Theme App Embed (Optional)

Add AI discovery metadata to your theme's HTML (completely optional):

6a. Open Theme Editor

  1. From your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. Or use this direct link: Open Theme Editor

6b. Enable App Embed

  1. In the theme editor, click the theme settings icon (☰) in the top left
  2. Scroll down to App embeds section at the bottom of the left sidebar
  3. Find "llms.txt AI Discovery" in the list
  4. Toggle it ON (switch turns green)
  5. Click Save in the top right
What does this do? The app embed adds a comment to your theme's <head> section documenting your AI discovery URL. This is informational only and doesn't affect functionality. Most merchants can skip this step.

❓ Troubleshooting

Generate button not working?

Make sure you have at least 1 active product in your store. The AI needs products to analyze.

Content not updating after product changes?

Click "🔄 Enable Auto-Sync" in the dashboard to set up automatic updates.

Can't find the theme app embed?

Look in the App embeds section (at the bottom of theme settings), not "App blocks". Remember, this step is completely optional.

Where is my llms.txt file?

It's automatically available at: https://YOUR-STORE.myshopify.com/apps/llms/llms-txt (replace YOUR-STORE with your actual domain)
